Nana's Capo Beach Quilting is family owned and operated by sisters Alisia LaLonde, and Norma Pate. Our mom Ann who is known as "Nana" spends the day's quilting with us as well.
My name is Alisia Lalonde (pictured on left in top photo ). I started quilting at age 15, with a simple one-patch design from a magazine. I took my first "real" quilting class in the late 70's but I was unhappy with the results of tearing strips and inaccurate piecing. I made a few quilts in the 80's but it wasn’t until the mid 90's when I truly rediscovered quilting. I attended a quilt show with a friend and was amazed by the new and so much better cutting tools, books and techniques. I was hooked!
My name is Norma Pate (pictured on right in top photo). My sister, Alisia, introduced me to quilting shortly after her re-discovery in the mid-90's. My first quilt was for my daughter in celebration of her 16th birthday. In 2000 we bought a Gammill Classic long-arm quilting machine with a 14-foot table and launched our business as Nana's Capo Beach Quilting. Our goal at Nana's Capo Beach Quilting is to do everything we can to make sure that you are completely satisfied with every quilt top we quilt and every purchase you make, we are committed to personal service. We value your loyalty and trust.
