Posted: 2009-06-25 20:11  The Blythe Collection is a celebration of creativity and the artist within. The amazingly decorative patterns are designed to work together, but at first glance may seem unrelated.  Create stunning collages by combining prints of old world maps, pen and ink calligraphy and found French elements. Also unique, are the antique chair engravings surrounded by fancy filigree designs that grace a jewel-toned green background. A true reflection of Blythe's avant-garde spirit is a rich bouquet of burgundy roses with small, wild blooms on a distressed background that confuses the eye - is it new or antique. Posted: 2009-06-24 21:57  We are currently working on a Applique Quilt that was brought in to us by Adele Merriman. The kit was designed by Sue Spargo, and is called Folklore.  This quilt is made up using mostly wool fabrics, so the quilting is really standing out!  Adele put an especially large 10.5" border on her quilt. She wanted large feathers all around her quilt. It looks great so far. We will post more pictures as the quilt progresses. Any day spent quilting, is a good day!
