FAIR TRADE PRACTICES

Fair Trade means an equitable and fair partnership between marketers in the developed world and producers in the underdeveloped world. A fair trade partnership works to provide low-income artisans and farmers with a living wage for their work.

The Basket Co-Op is committed to paying our artisans fair and satisfactory prices for their products.

We abhor and strongly discourages the use of child labor in any form throughout the entire production processes of our baskets.

Through our Support and yours participating communities are able to enhance the social lives of the artisans.

We seek to build self confidence in our artisans by demonstrating that their crafts are valuable and that they are entitled to a decent income from their labor.

Our artisans are committed to using environmentally friendly and sustainable methods of production which will assist in preserving our planet for future generations.

Please go to our website to see all our baskets that are available from Bolga Baskets from Ghana and Market Baskets from Morocco.
