Marine Corp Marathon Training Up-date
Oct. 23 2007

Our training has come to an end and we are leaving for DC tomorrow. We are all a little nervous and were not sure what to expect since this will be the first Marathon for most of us.

I have had my share of injuries, most of which I have been able to recover from, till this last one. I injured my Iliotibial Band on our 24-mile practice run several weeks ago. I hope that it will not be a problem during the race…so please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Ali is planning on going as far as she can, but with a health scare this weekend she isn’t going to push it and risk the chance of hurting herself.

If any of you would like to track our progress you can go to www.marinemarathon.com on Sunday October 28. Just look for the race info icon on the left hand side, click on it and then click on spectators, then go to runner tracker.

Finally, we are proud of our accomplishment. We know that our nephew would be proud of our effort as well. We run this race in his honor.

We love you Rick and we'll never forget you!

Thanks to all our friends for the well wishes and support!

The Gypsy Gripper

THE GYPSY GRIPPER

The must have tool for quilters! It can sometimes be a real challenge to hold your ruler in just the right spot while cutting fabric. The Gypsy Gripper has a comfortable grip handle, and two large round suction cups with handy lock and release levers. Just press the suction cup to any plastic or metal ruler that is at lease 4" wide, including most retangle, square or triangle shapes, then flip the levers to lock in place. When you want to change rules just flip the levers to release. Now you can move the ruler quickly and hold it in just the right position. Your ruler hand will be up and out of harm's way. The finger guides in the sculptured handle make The Gypsy Gripper easy to postition and comfortable to hold, even during the longest cutting sessions. A dream come true!
